  S360:  Elephant Ivory 'Elephant' Snuff Bottle

A very nicely carved ivory snuff of elephants.  The handles are elephant heads, There is one on each side, and the lid is an elephant.  Then there is a figural Lion's face in the center front.  The rear is carved with a raised chop (signature).  VERY unusual and nice ivory.  It stands a large 3 1/4" tall.

  S362:  Ivory 'Geisha' Snuff Bottle

A most beautiful ivory snuff deeply carved with a scene with Geishas strolling.  Carved from the most beautiful ivory and is well hollowed out.  Note the carved decoration on the sides and top.  It stands 3" tall.

  S363:  Ivory 'Sitting Fisherman' Snuff Bottle

A very rare ivory snuff bottle of a sitting fisherman holding a fish in his lap.  What makes him rare is the gilt coating, the precious stones imbedded (coral and turquoise), and he is also a netsuke.  Note the lapis lid as his hat. He sits a smaller 1 1/4" tall and is well hollowed out.

  S365:  Carved HORN Snuff Bottle

Horn snuff bottles are not all that rare, but this one is extra special.  Note the high relief carved Koi fish with gold gilt.  it is carved from a very unusual horn and is extremely well hollowed out (for use).  Also note the chinese characters on the back.  It stands 2 7/8" tall.

  S364:  Carved Tiger Eye Stone 'Foo Dog' Snuff Bottle

 this is an extremely nice snuff bottle carved from beautiful 'tiger eye' stone.  The reflection dances around as you turn the bottle.  And the ever popular Foo dog is nicely done and is well hollowed out (for use).  He sits 2 1/8" tall.

  S357:  Group of Four Cinnabar like Snuff Bottles

This fine group example of the cinnabar snuffs.  Cinnabar is tree sap that is layered over and over and then carved.  True cinnabar is extremely rare, so I am going to assume these are reproductions difficult to tell the repros from authentic).  However, they are the nicest I have seen (and I have seen many).  The four shapes are a great example.  Of course, there is the brass bottom with chops.  They stand approx 2 5/8".
